Franck Muller Conquistador Grand Prix Tourbillon Watch

I love Franck Muller watches. Its not usually the kind of thing I like, but his stuff is always beautifully made....better than a lot of other high end stuff, and always shows *real* imagination. His simpler, less expensive work (much of which pops up on eBay frequently) is exquisite. His basic chronographs.....some of the lower end Master Bankers and so forth, are really very wearable pieces. This is maybe not my favorite, but Id take it over an AP. One other note, his bracelets are terrific.

My immediate impression is of a wormhole/warp of horologial proportions; all the diminishing rings of mismatched numerals down to a jewel-centred tourbillon make me think that wearing it would transport me to an alternate world of gaudy timeliness.

Richard Mille + Cruella Deville = FM. You'll never need to ask "Did you notice my new watch?"

Does it come with a flux capacitor?

This really is a nice watch. I love the color scheme, dial...the thing looks like it was carved out of a piece of granite.

I think the dial is immaculate…it reminds me of the Cubano flair that Cuervo y Sobrinos is famous for. I love the model with the reddish/cranberry accent. The dual crown at 3 and 9 seems to balance out the lines of the timepiece. This watch is ostentatious but finishes well…like a nice merlot. I have to hand it to Franck Muller on this one…this is a jaw-droppingly handsome timepiece.
