LUM TEC B15 Giveaway Giveaway: LUM TEC B15 Chronograph Watch

LUM-TEC lovers rejoice, this month you have a chance to win one of LUM-TEC's very popular Combat B series watches. This is the limited edition B15 Chronograph, with a 43mm wide bead-blasted steel case and a real carbon fiber dial. A pilot watch at heart, it comes with a sturdy NATO style strap, and a very easy to read dial. LUM-TEC of course gives the watch their famous MDV luminant that works very well I must say. Visibility is further enhanced by anti-reflective (AR) coating on both sides of the sapphire crystal.

Inside the watch is a Miyota OS20 quartz chronograph movement. It has a 60 minute counter, synchronized 24 hour hand, subsidiary seconds dial, and the date. The B 15 is part of a very limited production of just 100 pieces, and has a retail price of $565. But you can get a free B15 by entering for a chance to win below.

I am rather new to pilot watches but, at this stage in my collecting career I like the Hamilton Khaki Pilot 46mm automatic with the black dial. But, I am quickly becoming a fan of Lum-Tec.

Great everyday or sporting watch! Like the rugged look. Your watch should mirror you or at least make a statement about who you are!

Sinn and Steinhart, both make a nice pilot watch.

Lumtecs are some of my favorite watches. I like the satin finish, and with a NATO band they are just so para-military. This one especially impresses me because of its quartz movement. I get the whole thing about mechanical movements (anybody want to send me a hand-wound Panerai for Christmas?), but quartz accuracy is nothing to sneeze at!

My favorite pilot would be IWC Double Chrono!!

I'm the best candidate for the Lum-Tec B15 Chrono is because this could be the nearest I could own for a versatile and built like a tank pilot watch!!

Love the Combat Series Lum-Tec watches - I need this one please!! I also really like the Breitling Aerospace. I'd love to win the Lum-Tec since I originally hail from Ohio!!

My favorite pilot's watch is the 1967 Breitling Navitimer that my dad left to me.(It's Broken)

Just love the B15 Chronograph.

My favourite pilot watch is an Eterna Airforce III, its functions are not too disimilar to the LUM-TEC B15.
The reason I would love to own this watch is I am a ships pilot and I could find many uses for the the LUM-TECS functions in particular navigating in close quarter situations where timing is essential. I particuarly like the big dial, easy to read and the luminosity for night time use on a blacked out bridge. Thamks LUM-Tec for the give away.

I must say the Bremont line of watches are very nice and I especially like the ALT1-P.

I am the curator of a WWII pilot and aviation musuem online: www.rathbonemusuem.com. I love everything to do with pilots and their equipment and have tried to preserve as much as I can from around the world. I have collected a few vintage pilot watches. I have worn a vintage A-11 made by Bulova and certainly love the LACO big pilot worn by Luftwaffe pilots. But for everyday wear it is either my Breitling or Sinn. But my favorite has to be my Bell & Ross BR01 with red numerals. It truly looks like it was taken right out of a P-51 dashboard. I would love to add the Lumitech B15 (the same designation as a great WWII pilot jacket) to the aviation collection. Check Six!

Even non-pilots need a watch that looks that good! Pat

My favourite pilot watch is the Debaufre Aircraft 8 green. I would like to win the Lum Tec B15. If not it will be my next watch purchase.

Always been a fan of the IWC Pilot. I'm really only just starting to enjoy watches after a life time of wondering why my father treasured them so. I've started my own collection with an Orient Worldtime and a Casio Pathfinder for outdoor use. Currently lusting after any sort of "non-diver" for day to day use, and regardless of this contest, I have to say that Lum Tec has my attention with some nice models at reasonable prices. Nice to see more manufacturers seemingly catering to the watch enthusiast instead of the fashionistas!

I love all Lum-Tec watches and would love to own this B15.

I'll add another vote for the Omega Flightmaster, beautiful watch. Definitely admire the Lum-Tec line as well.

My current favorite pilot's watch is my Luminox F-15 version in blue. The tritium lume is fantastic, it's a nice size, very comfortable to wear and if it's good enough for the guys @ Lockheed Martin and the F-15 men in the skies, it's fine with me.

I'm a big fan of great lume. When I wake up in the middle of the night and want to know what time it is, I just look at any of my Luminox's which I've put on to sleep with, and I'm always assured of superior visibility of the hour, minute and in some cases, the ticking movement of the seconds hand.

I've always been a huge fan of Lum-Tec and I would clearly like to wake up in the middle of the night with one of these babies on my wrist.

I hope I win. I hope I win.

Did I mention that I hope I win???

As someone who is newly into the beauty of watches yet has an appreciation already for the classics, I would have to say my favorite pilot watch would be the Benrus Sky Chief. I think the watch holds the beauty of a vintage piece with the rich history that garners respect. I think the LUM-TEC B15 would love great on my wrist as well.

This would be a dream watch to win. I actually love the fact that it's quartz and not automatic. This is the kind of watch you just want to strap on and roll and not worry about how close to accurate it might be.

Very nice watch. I am partial to simple, elegant and functional designs that are also unique. The carbon fiber face is dramatic yet easy to read. The B 15 would make a very nice addition to any collection, especially mine! Another cool giveaway from the coolest blog!

Favorite watch is the Tissot. I could use this watch. I need this watch. I'd like to win this watch.

One of my favorite Pilot Watches is the Poljot Strela Military Chronograph. It has an old-timey look, and is good as an everyday watch. Also, I normally go for black-faced watches, but the white face of this watch works very nicely.

Wish me luck!

My favorite pilot watch would have to be my Chase/Durer. It has all the hoops and barrels that one would need plus a lot of other stuff that is not needed.
I deserve to win because the world should revolve around me. So there.

P.S. My birthday is in October so I need to win.

My favorite pilot watch...probably the Christopher Ward C8 just because it is affordable, big, sleek and unique.

Not sure why exactly I like this watch, but every time when I visit this page I like it more and more. It's probably the right ballance between design and function, or the dial, or the case finish, or ...
I have only one pilot style watch in my collection (Wenger 7089X), but this LUM-TEC is definitely from a different, much higher league.
I am not a Facebook user, but still hope I can be eligible for this giveaway.

My favorite pilot watch is my Vollmer Special Mission Watch... Easy to read on my aging eyes, although 2nd would be my Breitling Chronomat.

I have been following Lum-Tec for a while now and would love to add one of their watches to my collection, and with the environments and people I associate with, seeing the luminous quality in low light might increase Lum-Tec's exposure, so it would be a win-win if I win :-)

I really like the Breitling Navitmer series of pilot watches. This watch, however, with the bright lume would really look great and be quite functional for every day use.

My favorite pilot watch would be the Omega Speedmaster moon 3570.50. I think that this watch is one of the most iconic watches of the 20th century. I hope the B-15 will be the most iconic watch in the 21st Century worn by future pilots and me :)

I have been drooling over these ever since I saw them on facebook. The styling, colors and (of course) the lume, are just 'right up my ally'.

I know that carbon fiber dials in watches may be getting a little long in the tooth, but I feel it really accentuates the look of this piece, adding to its implied 'toughness'.

The truth be told, if I had one, I think my other 10 watches might run off and join the circus due to lack of attention.

Take care!

- Beau

Very cool watch!!! Would love to have it in my collection!

Lum-Tec is making good strides. Their watches are really beginning to evolve, though i have still not been entirely captivated by any of the offerings other than the B series personally. Would love to get this chrono version, as it would be a great compliment to the original combat B mechanical that i have already. Even if i don't win, i'll probably end up getting one either way. Hey Ariel, excellent job on the new design! Really like it! Thanks for the awesome site.

I like the old Flieger style watches. Although I also enjoy the radio room dials like on the Vostoks.

The B-15 is an interesting mix of classical and modern watch designs. I would love to have one. A Steinhart Nav.B-Uhr would be a favorite pilot watch, though I don't own one yet.

Upmarket styling has definitely elevated the brand. I love the coin edged bezel and carbonfiber dial. Reminds me a bit of Tutima. Would have been a complete package with a mechanical movement but given the exclusivity and price? You can't ask for anything more!

Very nice looking watch! It would make a nice addition to my collection!

Why am I the best candidate? Let me offer a couple of reasons.

If I had this watch, I would use it for good. I would use it to time cookies baking in the oven, and distribute them to children and families in need throughout my community. I would time the take-offs and landings at our international airports, ensuring that air traffic flows smoothly around the world. I would keep track of the promises made by our nations leaders, ensuring compliance to our timetables for withdrawal from conflict. I would rescue stranded sherpas from the tops of high mountains, and clean the oil from unfortunate sea creatures living in the gulf. I would go to bed on time. I would time standardized tests to ensure a quality education for the youth of our great country. I would supplement official timekeepers at major sporting events to ensure fairness. I would know when to hold them, when to fold them, and share this information with the world through music.

In short, by giving me this watch you would be making our country, and the world at large safer, happier, more verdant, and more likely to be on time.

Thank you for your consideration.

I own a Citizen Chronotime AT, and I'd love to pick up a Stowa Airman Ikarus some day.

my favorite pilot watch would be the Citizen Skyhawk that my mother gave me.

I like a good Hamilton X-copter, but I currently own no pilot watches. I had to sell them all when I lost my job.

Yeah, next to this Lum-Tec, my favor design is the IWC Big Pilot.

I would love to win, that watch is one of the nicest looking ,I have seen in a while .

I first heard about Lum-Tec from USN. I don't know much about watches, but this one looks great. Cool idea using Carbon Fiber for the dial. I tried to send a comment before and am not sure why it wasn't approved.

Reason why I should win- I will need a watch this awesome in case of a zombie apocalypse.

I'm a big fan of the new Citizen Alterna Pilot Eco-Drive for both its price and aesthetics!

Omega Speedmaster Pro.

I love Lum-Tec... quality Automatic movement and style, made right here at home!

Another Super Nice Watch and Awesome giveaway! I would Love to switch job's with You if I had the same kowledge about watches like You do. I figure if I keep on submitting to most of the contests I might win one some day. Keep up the Great review's and give away's!
