Orient CEM65001Y giveaway Giveaway: Orient Mako Diver Automatic Watch

Here is your chance to get a well-made and affordable automatic mechanical dive watch from Orient Japan - for free. One lucky aBlogtoRead.com reader will win this watch from Orient. The brand makes their own movements and are often very well regarded by their fans. I reviewed with Orient Mako Dive watch here myself previously. Orient takes a lot of pride in their dependable automatic watches and here is your chance to own one. Up for grabs is the special yellow dial version of the Mako Dive watch line. It is the Orient CEM65001Y timepiece. As I understand it, this piece was specially made to celebrate Orient's relationship offering watches on Amazon.com, and is an exclusive color available only there or direct via Orient. There are a number a nice Orient automatic watches I've currently had my eye on such as Orient's CFM00004W, or the CEZ05003B.

Yellow is a nice alternative to orange when looking for a bold looking watch - but this model watch is also available in orange, as well as black or blue dials. The watch is 41mm wide and 13mm thick. The automatic movement has a power reserve of about 40 hours, and the watch case is water resistant to 200 meters. The movement features a day-date complication. The day is adjusted via the pusher above the watch crown. The style is simple and sharp, with a lot of visual durability to be a default watch, or a go-to activity timepiece. The three-link steel bracelet is impressively made given the price range. The Orient CEM65001Y retails for $275. Enter below for your chance to win one this month from aBlogtoRead.com.

Black is always the winner. Looks classic and strong

Black is always in style :-)

Always black. It never gets old.

great reviews, I've added this site to the top of my bookmarks...

I've always wanted a yellow dial dive watch. It can be worn for formal, everyday and outdoor/water activity. Orient watches are beautifully designed and a great value for the money.

My favorite is Black. I have one on black and love it. But this yellow watch looks amazing, very stylish

Yellow is my favorite color for a watch dial next only to Orange. For me, a yellow colored dial (just like Orange) expresses the wearer’s inclination to sport and I’m very active in sports. It is also very timely to have a watch with a yellow dial in my country because our new President and her late mom (who was also a President) were both identified to the yellow color.

Love black. But orange is growing on me ...

my favorite dial color is blue but on dive watches I lean towards yellow or orange

Well, it's all already been said before. The Blue Mako Diver is really classy and can be worn from work to play. But after seeing the yellow I'm beginning to have a new favorite. Kinda like a yellow mustang, out of the ordinary.

Yellow is the new black. Gimme one, I need something more stylish than all these black watches!

Blue is onne of my favorites. Mostly becauuse that is my favorite color and I like it.

I typically like black or blue dials, but that yellow looks really nice. I've just recently become aware of the Orient brand and that diver is definitely one that I could see owning. Thanks for the chance to win.

excellent watch in excellent price....... after watching the review of above watch in yellow dial finally i am able to convince my self that its time for some change. any next watch be yellow .... above displayed orient watch is stylish eye catching and yet sober for daily use for work and party .......i wish i can grab the one ......
greetings...

I like dial colors that make the time piece easy
to read. The classic colors; black, blue and white are favorites of mine. The yellow color dial on the Orient watch pictured would be another good choice.
Thanks much.

The Orient looks cool. Simple, functional which I like.

2 colors I prefer in order:
White - its super functional and clean and crisp, works in numerous situations.
Green - unique and full of character, not the normal or obvious choice, good to stand out in a crowd

Basic black - goes with almost anything.

Black dial/big lumed white hands.
The more readable the better

Well let's be frank, it's a dive watch and that dial should stand out. This is why I like the yellow dial. If you're diving with it it should 'pop' and not be hard to read. As well if you're not diving with it, the dial should reflect the sporty design of the watch itself. Yellow is genrally associated with high performance cars so it's just natural to see that colour on a performance watch. That water resistance, at that price, and an automatic just exclaims Bold Value!

My favourite watch dial clour is black. I love black dial with combination of silver watch band.

White. I work for a bank and usually wear dark suits and white shirts, so white watchfaces just blend in so nicely. I usually wear a nicely designed Skagen watch (citizen innards) and it looks superb :-)

I'm also a big fan of blue faced watches. Hunter green is also a good choice.

SIlver is a nice color for a watch and some golden accents make it very fancy too.

At the moment it would be blue: haven't got a blue faced watch yet.

I always liked blue dials. However, I am much more concerned with the overall design of the watch than the dial color.

black for any occasion, and blue/yellow for divers...not a big fan of orange(s)

I've always liked blue faced watches, it's fairly neutral and goes with just about everything.

I really love a navy blue face with a matching leather strap, as in this beautiful Orient: http://www.orient-watch.com/product/sporty_automat...

I THINK A WATCH MAKES A STATEMENT ABOUT THE PERSON WEARING IT. IF IT'S AN ORIENT IT ALREADY PROJECTS QUALITY AND VALUE. I LIKE YELLOW BECAUSE IT IS POWER COLOR. I WOULD TO PROJECT THAT I AM A POWER PERSON WHO LIKES QUALITY AND VALUE.

Black for me.It fits to almost all

I would go with either the yellow or the blue, You cannot beat the quality for the price.

I really prefer the blue, but have plenty of room in my watch box for all of them.

BLACK, ALWAYS, THE CLASSIC LOOK OF THE DIVER WATCHES. IF IT IS FREE; ANY COLOR IS PERFECT, HA!

I think blue is very classy.

This is my favorite Mako but I can't get myself to shell out an additional $85 just for the yellow dial. I assume the good people at Orient are reading these comments too, correct? Maybe you (they) can explain why the yellow Mako is $275 whereas all the other ones are $190

i like watches with blue, black dials with blue and orange luminous hand. I like this combination because it looks sporty and can be worn with anything.

I would love to win an Orient. I personally have an Omega Seamaster and a few Tags, but I'd love to personally see the quality in automatic watches coming out of new markets.

Thanks!

I'm partial to a pepsi dial. Blue is my favorite colour, and Orient does a really nice iridescent blue.

I have the slightly larger Mako II in black, and it is becoming my favourite diver. I cannot believe the accuracy of the movement - almost chronometre grade I think. I prefer black dials for the classic look, but dark blue would be a close second, followed by white. However, I have always thought I should try something different and get a watch with a yellow or orange dial. So, why not start with this limited edition yellow Mako?

I get bored with Black...so I like YELLOW and ORANGE! They just pop and demand attention!!

Black is my favorite color dial for two reasons.
1. Aesthetically, I think it looks the best -- dressy and sharp.
2. Financially it is a binus, in the sense that black dials are most in demand so one can generally re-sell easier.

Yellow is my next favorite color dial -- I think it is highly legible and stands out.

In search for a watch for my husband, I have seen this Orient Mako Diver Watch.
I personally like the yellow color, which will fit his cloths, but I think he likes black dial.
Anyway, a simple classic design, easy to read and a affordable price.

i you'd have to say orange or red, no particular reason other than it makes me skip a hearth beat when i get one of those on my wrist.

I don't own many watches, but in my short time shopping and researching, I have to say that my favorites are a toss-up between blue and silver.

Orange - Reminds me of the good old days windsurfing with the Promaster.

I like Orient Mako Diver Watch with the gold yellow dial version.
One can see it optically very clear and elegant.
Affordable price and ideal for all ages.

My favorite dial color would be a black/white combination because it's really legible and very traditional. Having said that, I can also appreciate dive watch dials with yellow or orange... really sporty. The color contrast on this particular watch is extremely legible and great looking to boot.

Definitely yellowed ivory or off-white dials. The look is classic and goes with everything. And it gives a certain vintage flair to modern watches.

My favourite watch dial color is Black because in my opinion it looks very sporty.
