Glycine Airman Base 22 Watch

Oh Yes !
I own some Glycine watches (airman 9 GMT, airman 2000, Combat 07) and sold one (a california dial based on 6497) few weeks ago. The Airman line remains the most interesting because no one (except earlybird) has a design like this.
The Vietnam era watches are more than great but true genuine models are difficult to find, dial and hands are aging poorly because those watches were worn in extreme conditions (shocks, high UV rate, smoke, dust) due to war. A lot of vintage glycine are too often Frankenwatches rebuilt from bits and pieces.

Definitely Glycines watches are great value for money. The case assembly is great, the bracelet and straps are well finished and the displays reveal great readabilty once accustomed.
It is true that watches are growing in size and Glycine chronographs are hudge for normal wrist (44 to 48mm). They are heavy too.

I like Glycine and think they have some great dial designs. Especially some of their Incursore series. But they've really gotten pretty huge lately. I love the KMU48 small seconds but at 48mm it's a bit too huge for my puny wrist.
