Ariel: just wanted to let you know I finally got the chance to check out one of your podcasts. Great show and great points. Loved the Rolex discussion. John has an intense dislike for Rolex...:). Make the Submariner in Black DLC!! Actually maybe not, since that would put us in trouble...Rolex is definitely not the "best of the best" but in terms of name brand recognition, there is no one who comes close...and the vintage market for Rolex? Where is there such a huge market of collectors?
I don't think John really hates Rolex that much - he just likes being crotchety a lot. I started out a bit like him, not getting "the point" of Rolex, but I have come around and appreciate the place they have in the watch world.
Great podcast guys! You both rock. This was by far the most entertaining show yet. For what it's worth, I also agree with Johns dislike for Rolex. I could easily compare Rolex with some Tech giants...
