This was a great watch to write about because it is just a good execution of the jumping hour theme. Does it mean that I am partial to digital watches because I like it? That is basically what a jumping hour watch is, a hybrid between a digital watch and an analog one. Of course it would still be a mechanical digital watch. No quartz movements here. While I am somewhat fascinated with the concept of the jumping hour display, it seems to me that jumping hours that don't use a retrograde minutes hand will have a period of ambiguity at the top of every hour. Is it 10:00, or is it really 10:59 and some seconds, but the hour hasn't jumped yet? For this reason, I much prefer jumping hours with a retrograde minutes hand (a la Gerald Genta).
