Prometheus Baiji Watch Giveaway

Prometheus Baiji Watch Giveaway Prometheus Baiji Watch Giveaway

Prometheus just released their newest watch called the Baiji. The piece is meant to honor the now extinct freshwater dolphin species that was obliterated due to human intervention and pollution in their home waters in China. Baiji were incredible creatures and representative of an extremely rare class of Freshwater dolphins. There is an outline of one on the rear of the watch case. The watch itself is in steel (with a black PVD coated version) and is 43mm wide. There are various dial colors available with most having both SuperLumiNova and Tritium gas tubes on the dial. Inside the watches are Sea-Gull automatic movements which are ETA 2824 clones. Prices for the Baiji watches are between $338.94 - $440.61 depending on the model and where you live.

My favorite fantasy "animal" name is the Siren - definitely a lure for sailors at sea, as the watches are to us. If it's gotta be an animal- The Dogfish. Great fish, great beer.

What an honorable way to memorialize such a majestic creature.

I'd have to say Skyhawk is a real solid animal name.

One that I'd like to see is the Kraken.

Phoenix , it rose from the ashes to become something new.. A new alloy maybe? A new movement made from an older design thats been modified and improved upon.. The ultimate in resiliance it comes back from the dead! Thanks for the chance

There are so many cool names, but I'm gonna go w/ "the Sea Turtle" ! The shape of the case combined w/the fact that they have long lives, in & out of the water. Thanks for the chance !!!

The famous Bengal tiger popularized through Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book.

This iconic animal should be immortalised in a timepiece as I can see it being worn many generations after us.

I've always felt that Panther would be a fantastic name for a sleek matt PVD black watch with yellow markers for hours and on matt gunmetal grey hands. RAWR.

Zabare is a great name. It'll be a watch with a black face, glow-in-the dark silver hands and lots of shiny links in its bracelet.

I like the Prometheus JellyFish, but at the same time, I do like the Baiji as I do like dolphins

I would name a watch "Komondor," as in the dog. I suppose the design would have to incorporate some cues from the dog and have some cording machined into the case. It would have to be brushed stainless or titanium for the color cues. It's basically going to be as ugly as the dog. Hollar!

I'm going for the AP ROO Panda. I'm guessing it's called the Panda because it's big, popular in China and incapable of reproducing. Either that, or it has something to do with the color of the dials.

Even though this isn't a real animal, I would love to see a watch model named Pegasus - with a lot of white highlights and engraving of a Pegasus on the back of the watch. jorriangelink@gmail.com

I would name a watch Meerkat, simply because they are furry and cuddly.

Narwhal's are amazing creatures why are there no watches named after the giants of the sea?! I have loved dive watches since I was six, long story.....never had the cash to get one that meant something to me, this one does! My official submission! jameshavens@yahoo.com

Like the coating and the lume.  Nice work Prometheus. PVD version looks bad-arse and tough as nails.  Favourite animal named / coined watch:  without a doubt, the Rolex Daytona Panda model.  Great job on the site as always Mr. Adams.

I think that I've got to go with SeaDragon

I'd really have to go with Pangolin. Not that there's a watch of that name, but it has the sound of a Proper Thing.

I'm a fan of the Oktopus from Linde Werdelin

I would have to go with the Tudor Tiger chrono as my favorite existing 'animal' watch, but would love if someone came out with a watch called the Manticore, or maybe a Cerberus,  after the hellhound.  That one could be a chrono, since 3 heads = 3 interior dials?

Would love a watch named Great White if not already named.

Please include me in the chance at the Baiji.  I like that name as well as the name Doxa uses for their sharkhunter.

One of the best giveaway. Great name for a great watch!!!

The Di Grisogono Cringer, he's also known as "Battle Cat" from the He-Man cartoons. His style of armor and color scheme would make a bold watch.

How about the Anonimo Anaconda.  A great masculine watch exudes strength and stealth.

Unicorn, from Stowa would be great!

The Bulova Bull, would be a good name

Well, I've been waiting for a Brequet Snuffleupagus for years...  I don't want to have to settle for a Reine de Naples.

I think Panerai could introduce a "Gattopardo" model.

clinicadeprado 5 pts

A Patek Philippe Nautilus would be fine.

jotpeh 5 pts

I am thinking something down the line of "Helson Hydra", some kind of 42mm unisex dive watch or something more butch  "Helson Leviathan"

Pure coincidence?

I'm into divers and the name that I'd like to see in a diver's watch is: "Manta Ray"... but Prometheus already has one, right? hehehe

I am big fan of G-Shock series. I'll go with frog (after Frogman)
